For protection and added security, we see a huge growth in the number of surveillance devices being purchases by business and home owners.  However, with the computer now being the hub of companies and homes, there is an added need for ISP surveillance.  With this, software is used along with the security offered by the Internet Service Provider to keep conversations, emails, instant messages, chats, passwords, encrypted phrases, and other computer activity protected from prying eyes.

The higher quality ISP surveillance equipment and software will use what is known as a CCD camera.  The difference here is that a camera of this type is designed to use a special signal capable of processing and sensing packages video streams using the LAN.  However, as the signal goes through the LAN, a Cat 5 cable is also used in place of the more traditional coaxial cable.  The benefit is having more bandwidth along with the TCP/IP form of communication.

With ISP surveillance such as this, you would find that data mining is far more intelligent and when it comes to retrieving information, the process is easier and more accurate.  This means that you find a higher level of protection due to the data encryption capabilities.  As a result, images cannot be tampered with.  You will also discover that some of the top ISP surveillance companies such as Linksys now has integrated and built-in web servers.  This eliminates the need for outside computers, as well as the manpower to operate and manage them.

Of course, as with most type of spy equipment, ISP surveillance has options on both low and high end.  Therefore, if you want something that will increase security for your computer activity but without going overboard, you could always consider the possibilities associated with a Digital Video Recorder or DVR.  Most of these systems are designed to use the older analog options but with more robust conversion features.  Rather than live in fear or concern that someone will get information from your home or business computer, you should consider adding protection in the form of ISP surveillance.
